Pa’s Reed Orchids

This orchid, while not native, holds an important place in my family’s history. They were my great grandfather’s favourite of his numerous orchids, when he died in 2021 at the age of 94, we spread his ashes at his favourite camp site and planted the original orchid there. Currently me, my great aunt and my grandmother each have a cutting from this original orchid and it’s a strong symbol of him still being with us to this day.
