Rock Art in the US Southwest

There's amazing rock art all over the US Southwest, created by the ancestors of Native American nations, sometimes called the Anasazi (though this name is controversial). They created highly developed civilizations, with whole cities built into rock like Mesa Verde and Chaco Canyon, roughly from 1000 B.C. to A.D. 1540. I took these photos on my favorite road trip that I took several years ago.
