City archive
I enjoy reading and researching historical events in my city, and the best place for that is the city archive. You can make an appointment via email and then explore forgotten letters, historical events, and other fascinating materials. As a volunteer, I write monthly articles about historical figures or places that existed long ago in my neighborhood for a magazine called "Westpost." The archive holds an incredible wealth of information, and discovering it is a true pleasure! The Archive is in the palace. Everybody can visit it and research in the Archive for old and interesting things. Wikipedia says: "The Braunschweig City Archive is one of the largest municipal archives in Lower Saxony. Its collections date back to the year 1031. Since June 25, 2007, it has been located in the reconstructed Braunschweig Palace."
