Padua, historic city

Padua (Padova) is a historic city in northern Italy, located in the Veneto region, known for its rich cultural heritage, prestigious university, and stunning architecture. It is one of the oldest cities in Italy and it offers a perfect mix of history, art, and vibrant culture.Three main attractions you can visit are: the Scrovegni Chapel with frescoes by Giotto; Prato della Valle, one of the largest squares in Europe is an elliptical piazza with a central island surrounded by a canal and 78 statues; and Basilica of Saint Anthony (Basilica di Sant’Antonio) a big church that features a mixture of architectural elements. One of my favourite places in Padua is Giardini dell’Arena, a park with lawns, pathways and shaded area that contains the ruins of a Roman arena. Is the perfect spot for visitors to enjoy a peaceful break while exploring the cultural treasures of Padua.
