Moomba is a festival held in Melbourne, Victoria every year. It has been going since 1955 and is held over Labour day weekend in March. It's held on the banks of the iconic Yarra River and surrounding areas, and the weather is usually quite nice and still warm enough for water sports. It's Multi-Cultralism at it's best.There is a parade celebrating all cultures, fireworks, carnivals and the famous Birdman rally where people create and build their flying contraptions just to run off a ramp to see how far they can fly in to the Yarra River. There is also music and live bands that play with some well known artists headlining. There is so much to see and do over the weekend. It's such an amazing celebration for Melbourne to have Moomba and if you ever get a chance, go and have an awesome weekend there, It's beautiful.
