The musical theft of Miserere Mei, Deus

A fun fact: "Miserere Mei, Deus" composed by Gregorio Allegri was a piece reserved only to be performed inside the Sistine Chapel in Rome and it was illegal to transcribe the song or try to recreate it anywhere outside the Chapel. When 14 year old Mozart heard the piece for the first time inside the Sistine Chapel, being the genius that he is, he transcribed it by memory and hence went against the law. This got him in a bit of trouble but in the end it all went well, reason why we now can hear the piece even outside the Sistine Chapel.
