Saussie Sizzle

Saussie/Sausage Sizzles are a part of Kiwiana (NZ culture). They're found at practically every single event: Community and charity fundraisers, music shows, fairs, festivals, club sports matches, and parades. IMO the best time to have one is just after a sports game, especially on a cold in the evening. Some national hardware stores have permanent BBQ setups outside that groups can book and use and raise money for their organisation, free of charge.Saussie Sizzles go for a culturally standard flat rate of $2, and anything more than that is a sacreligious rip-off. PSA: Only Heathens in Australia call them "snags".
