Appalachian Roadkill

Here on the twisty backcountry roads of southern virginia, sometimes a wayward animal gets squished. While it is sad and unfortunate, my friends and I try to honor the animal by collecting it, saving it's skin, paws, and tail, or just burying it to later collect the bones. it may be morbid, but it is good fun and spiritual. it connects us to our natural spaces.
