Rfisa

Rfisa is a Traditional Moroccan dish that is mainly served during a special celebration that we have 7 days after the woman gives birth. The dish is made with shredded Msemen ( a special tortilla-like bread) topped with a flavorful stew of chicken, lentils, fenugreek, garlic all spiced with a rich blend of over 10 moroccan spices. This blend is known to help the woman produce more milk to feed her baby, and is very healthy and nutrient-dense for her postpartum recovery. Originally, it had to be a wild pheasant or a dove, but since it is becoming more difficult to hunt them now people make it with chicken.it's decorated with dried figs and peaches, dates, quail eggs, nuts and sesame seeds.
