Baile funk
Often Brazilians will reunite for a baile funk, a big party to listen and dance to Brazilian funk. Originally a baile funk happens as a street party, but it can also happen at nightclubs or house parties. Since Brazil is a big country, and Brazilian funk is widely popular, the music and style of the party can change slightly from state to state. Some well-known Brazilian funk styles can be: Mandelão (from the region of São Paulo), Fritação (protagonized by LGBT+ and heavily influenced by electronic), Brega Funk (influenced by Brazil's North and Northwest culture and rhythms), etc. There's much more. Coming from poor and excluded communities for the whole world to listen to, the lyrics are often dirty and can talk about liberty, dancing, crimes, resilience and money. In bailes funk you'll always find people using brands like Oakley's and Cyclone, and using the style of the mandrakes and planetárias. Of course, can't forget to mention that everyone is drinking a copão at a baile funk.
