Juhannus / midsummer
Juhannus or midsummer is event in finland and atleast in sweden, where we celebrate years longest day. we call it the nightles night, because the sun doesnt set down. finnish people usually goes to theirs cabins (if they own one) and eat bqq food, drink possibly, swim and enjoy friends or familys company. i like to spend Juhannus with my cousins and my sister. also we will go to sauna as usually and we also have these things called palju, which is a tub that you warm, kinda like jacuzzi, but no bubbles. and we will watch bonfires. also there are old beliefs that some people like to do. one example is that you have to run naked on a field and then look at the reflection in the lake, which shows your future husband or wife. there are lot of that kind of beliefs that are fun to execute.
