Bunnings Snag
A snag or a sausage sizzle is the Australian version of a hot dog, and I\'d argue infinitely yummier. On sliced white bread, a high quality juicy beef sausage fresh off the barbie, grilled onion if you\'d like (extra for me please), and a sauce of your choice (are you team tomato sauce or team BBQ sauce?). Bunnings is a warehouse and garden centre, and on weekends, they allow local organisations to sell snags/sausage sizzles in their parking lot to raise money for themselves. Often, these organisations are children\'s local sports teams. Each snag costs about $3 – maybe more nowadays, considering inflation and the cost of living crisis in Australia – and if you want onions it\'s another $1 or so. I love Bunnings\' snags because, not only are they delicious, but they\'re such a strange tradition in our country that represents our value of community, teamwork, and friendliness!
