The sugar shack

Every spring, the syrup of the maple trees is collected and boiled down to make a syrup and different maple products. We gather at the sugar shack to eat a brunch-like meal, covered in maple syrup! There is traditional Quebec music and dance, Rigodon, a horse carriage tour of the maple forest, sometimes a small farm and the most important, syrup on snow! Hot syrup is poured on fresh snow and becomes tacky, we then take a stick, roll it on the taffy-like texure, and eat it!!
