Chithirai Thiruvila

The Goddess Meenakshi is accompanied by her brother God Azhagar for her marriage to God Sundareshwarar. There would be a great chariot assembled for her walk down the aisle being the Temple City Madurai itself. God Azhagar would descend into the waters of the river Vaigai after the procession and union.
