Juhannus/ Midsummer

In the middle of summer we celebrate the longest days of light. Yöttömiä öitä/ nightless night bc the sun doesn't go down. Usually celebrated in a big group of friends and family consists of grilling everything known to mankind, swimming, drinking, going to the sauna and playing games. Also we can never know what the weather is going to be like. It can be sunny (really lucky year), rain, rain hail or even snow (yes that has happened). Some places do a juhannuskokko which is like a really big bonfire. Many also do midsummer charms to know what their future partner looks like.
