Triskele

A triskele is a shape of 3 spirals interconnected. It is an ancient symbol to represent birth, life, and death. In Irish public hospitals the triskele is used to represent palliative care/end of life. The triskele is enclosed in a white circle to show continuity and life everlasting. I was a nurse and we used to put this up at the nurses station when we had someone close to passing away. It is a nod to a more elder/ancient symbol of Ireland which does not exclude current religions etc.
