The Parthenon in Nashville

The Parthenon in Centennial Park, Nashville is a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens, was built for Tennessee’s centennial celebration of joining the U.S. It was selected because Tennessee is nicknamed “the Athens of the South”, and it was supposed to be temporary but the state kept it because people loved it so much, and today it is an art museum and popular tourist location! (Also, the Athena statue is MASSIVE)
