Polish Artist - Zdzisław Beksiński

Zdzisław Beksiński was murdered in his apartment in Warsaw on the night of 21–22 February 2005, a few days before his 76th birthday. best known for his haunting, surreal and dystopian imagery. His works often depicted nightmarish landscapes, decaying architecture and deformed figures, evoking a deep sense of melancholy and existential dread. Although largely self-taught, Beksiński developed a distinctive style that combined elements of fantasy, horror and symbolism. Despite his dark themes, he described his art as optimistic.
