Castel Gandolfo
If you come to Rome, you absolutely must visit and don't miss it! It's a treasure not too far from Rome. It's a huge lake, and the reason I chose this spot is because it's so peaceful. You can rent a "pedalò," a kind of boat, but you have to pedal to move it. It's a lot of fun, I promise. And there are tons of them. I once saw these boats, but they were shaped like swans. You can also rent a SUP and relax. There are beaches, but most of them aren't free. But trust me, if you go all the way to the right, there are more beautiful, free beaches :) If you like hiking, there are nature trails along the lake shores, and it takes about 2-3 hours to walk the whole way around. People even go there with their dogs. And last but not least, if you look up on a hill, you'll see the Pope's residence!
