The Oktoberfest

The Oktoberfest started in 1810 in Munich, Germany, as a big celebration for the wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese. People had horse races, music and plenty of beer, and it was such a good time that they decided to do it again the next year. Over the years it grew into the huge beer festival we know today, with millions of visitors enjoying Bavarian food, music and of course beer every autumn.
