Northern Lights

On clear nights, the sky often bursts into waves of green, pink, and sometimes red that ripple like curtains across the darkness. They can appear suddenly starting as a faint glow on the northern horizon, then growing brighter until the whole sky feels alive and moving. Out in the quiet of northern BC, away from city lights, the aurora often feels close, almost like it’s dancing right above you. The colors shift and twist, sometimes forming long arcs, spirals, or shimmering bands that stretch from one end of the sky to the other. When it’s really active, the lights pulse and flicker so fast it looks like they’re breathing. The cold air, the silence, and the huge northern sky make the experience even more powerful. Many people describe it as peaceful, spiritual, and unforgettable one of those things you can never fully explain until you see it for yourself.
