The Fallas of Valencia

In Valencia, Spain We celebrate the fallas every March. During this celebration, large artistic monuments made of wood, and other materials are displayed in the streets. These figures often represent satirical scenes about society, or daily life. The festival includes music, fireworks, parades, and traditional clothing (falleras and falleros). On the last night, most of the monuments are burned in a symbolic act that represents renewal, the end of the old, and the beginning of something new.
