The type of bread made in traditional bakeries (panaderías) in Puerto Rico have a particular sweetness and softness to them. It is a proven fact that when you buy a bag of freshly baked bread from a bakery in Puerto Rico, you need to eat one of its sides (culito) before you get out of the establishment. Most people dont bring to their house an untouched bread loaf. People carry the bread from the bakery to their house with the bread under their arms.
