Museum Island
Museumsinsel is a place in my city, Berlin. Separated by the river surrounding it, it is packed with culture, art, history... home to the Pergamon Museum, Bode Museum, Old and New National Gallery, Berlin Cathedral and more. There is so much to see that it can't all be done in a single day. I wouldn't want to visit alone, but I went twice with two friends (whom I actually met through GPF hehe) and it was a genuinely enjoyable experience. Being able to share and compare impressions - shaped by our different backgrounds, knowledge, and cultures - made the visit all the richer. Tickets are a flat rate of €25 a day, which I think is reasonably priced given everything on offer. Image 2 is Self-Portrait by Sabine Graeff (1885) and the last one is Green Caesar (Egypt, ca. 1-50 AD).
