Trandagen (The Day of the Crane)

Socks are hung out in the evening, and if you've been nice, then the cranes that are coming back in the spring will drop some candy into it for you to enjoy! It's a pretty local tradition that is only celebrated in some parts of Sweden and supposedly celebrates the light returning after winter (though candy is the focus of any and all children haha). In my family we also fold little origami cranes, but I think that's mostly us.
