Year 12 Ball

The year 12 ball is a tradition in most Australian schools to celebrate going into the last year of high school. It is typically held in the first term of the school year. Its a very formal event, with students going all out and hiring or buying a tux or ball gown, and getting hair and makeup professionally done. Theres food, dancing and awards presented to the Belle and Beau of the ball. After the ball, someone with a large property often hosts an afterparty for the entire year group. My ball was in February and it was the best night of my life :)
