Beltain

"One of my absolute favourite things to do locally is attend the annual Beltain Festival at an open-air experimental archaeology site called Butser Ancient Farm. It's a massive modern spin on the Celtic May Day fire festival. We welcome the summer surrounded by thatched Iron Age roundhouses, drinking sweet mead, listening to folk drummers, and watching a giant 30-foot Wicker Man burn down at dusk! It feels like stepping back into ancient Britain."
