Kerala: Gods own country

I come from a place called Kerala which lies in the south of India. It has a humid tropic climate. Its a beautiful state. A language called Malayalam is spoken here. Religions like Hinduism, Islam and Christianity is followed here. There is a very interesting mythological story behind the formation of Kerala. Its long but I will cut it short. This is according to hindu mythology. Parasurama, an avatar of a Hindu god called Mahavishnu threw an axe from a place named Gokaran. The sea on the direction of the axe moved out and a strip of land was formed. This is said to be present day Kerala. Interesting right?? (Actually there is lot more.) I hope this inspires somebody to know more about India and Kerala.
