Two Sides of Finnish Winter ️

When you think of Finland, you might picture a country covered in snow, with frozen lakes, forests and Northern Lights. But Finnish winter can be very different depending on where you are.In Turku, in southwestern Finland, winter can mean rain, ice and slush just as easily as snow. Meanwhile, north of the Arctic Circle in Lapland, winter can bring more than a metre of snow, frozen landscapes and skies filled with Northern Lights.I have experienced both, and I love the contrast. These photographs are a small glimpse of two very different winters in the same country one from my everyday surroundings in Turku, and one from my time in Lapland. Both are Finland. Both are winter. But they can feel like completely different worlds. ️
