Tramping (aka hiking)

Kiwis love talking about how beautiful the great outdoors is here and many regularly go exploring. The Department of Conservation looks after hundreds of 'huts' out in the wilds - some more basic than others - that tramper (hiker) can use to bed down for the night on their longer treks for a small fee.
