Shvil Israel hike

Israel has a lot of organized marked hiking routes. "Shvil Israel" is the biggest hiking route that runs all along the country from north to south, of about 1000 kiometers. Marked all along with orange, blue, white, it takes about 1.5-3 months to walk and there is a whole culture around it. A person doing it is called a Shvilist, and there are "Mal'ahei Shvil" (Route Angels) who volunteer to help Shvilists by offering rides to and from the Route or hiding water for them on the way. Most of the people I know who did or wants to do the hike after 12th grade, before joining the army.
