🪔 Diwali — More Than Just a Festival of Lights
Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is one of the most joyful and widely celebrated festivals in India. It is a time when homes are cleaned and decorated with colourful rangoli, oil lamps called diyas, flowers and lights. Families come together, wear new clothes, exchange sweets and gifts, and offer prayers for happiness, prosperity and a fresh beginning. For me, Diwali is not just about the beautiful lights or celebrations. It is about family, friendship, kindness and the feeling of togetherness that fills the air. Streets and homes glow with thousands of lights, the aroma of traditional sweets fills the neighborhood, and everyone seems to share a little more happiness.Although traditions vary across different parts of India, the spirit remains the same — light overcoming darkness, hope overcoming negativity, and good overcoming evil. 🪔
