Picada

A very common tradition here in Argentina is the picada. It’s much more than just a snack board, it’s a whole social ritual about sharing and spending time together. You can find it on any occasion, such as a movie night, a walk in the park, parties, family reunions, and even as a starter in a restaurant! The one in the photo is a simple version with just salame and cheese, but a picada can include a huge variety of cold cuts, different types of cheese, and other snacks like peanuts, olives, or bread.Like I said, it’s everywhere! We say "sale picada?" almost as much as we say "boludo"It's always the perfect time for a picada in my opinion. I would say it's my favorite thing in the world, but that might mean nothing since almost everything is my favorite thing!
