Fête des Lumières

The "Fête des Lumières" is a big event in the area around Lyon. Originally created to thank Mary for stopping the black plague, inhabitants of Lyon are lighting candles at their windows every 8th of December. Nowadays, there are light shows on the historic facades of the town.
