Fun Drink, Boston Cooler

In Michigan, USA we have a special drink we like to enjoy in the summertime. It's called the "Boston Cooler" or a "Vernors float". No, it's not a Boston thing but a very Detroit thing! They believe the name comes from the Boston-Thomas Edison neighborhood in Detroit. The drink is made by adding Vernors ginger ale pop to a glass of vanilla ice cream. Some like to blend it and others like to simply pour the ginger ale over a couple scoops of ice cream. A spoon and a straw are usually needed. It's the best blend of creamy and fizzy. Michiganders use Vernors pop as a cold remedy even though it doesn't really contain any ginger Maybe you can try something like it wherever you are from!
