Burghausen Castle

I live near Burghausen, a small town in Bavaria, Germany. It is best known for Burghausen Castle, which stretches for more than one kilometre along a hill above the river Salzach. It is considered the longest castle complex in the world. One of my favourite things about Burghausen is walking through the old town and along the river. The colourful houses, narrow streets, and beautiful views of the castle make it a very special place. In every season, the castle looks different and offers amazing photo opportunities. Burghausen also has a rich cultural life. During the summer, concerts, festivals, and historical events take place in and around the castle. Visitors from many countries come to explore its history and enjoy the atmosphere. Although Burghausen is a small town, it combines history, nature, and modern life. For me, it is a wonderful place to live and a hidden gem that many international travellers have never heard of.
