Pennsylvania Christmas cookies

Here in Pennsylvania, we have a tradition of baking an extensive variety of Christmas cookies for kids to decorate, give as gifts, and share or swap with neighbors and families. This Christmas tradition has immigrant roots, dating back to when people from Italy, Poland, Germany, Sweden, and other countries brought their own recipes for delicious treats.
