Morning Birdsong in Bengaluru

One of the things I treasure about life in Bengaluru is waking up to birdsong. Before the city becomes busy, the day begins with the calls of mynas, bulbuls, sunbirds, parakeets, and crows. Sitting with a cup of tea and watching birds in the garden or nearby trees is a daily ritual that brings me peace. My interest in birds started as a hobby and eventually became a career in wildlife travel. Even after all these years, I still feel a sense of wonder when I spot a new species or observe familiar birds raising their young. For many Indians, nature exists alongside everyday urban life. It is not unusual to find colourful birds, butterflies, and flowering trees right in the middle of a bustling city.
