Fiesta de La Tirana (La Tirana festival)

Religious festival held in northern Chile. It is one of the largest celebrations in the country. It takes place between 10 and 20 July in the town of La Tirana, a locality that commemorates the Ñusta Huillac (princess), a popular story describing the conflict during the Spanish conquest of the territory.

Festividad religiosa que se realiza en el norte de Chile. Es una de las celebraciones más grandes del país. Se realiza entre el 10 y el 20 de julio en el pueblo de La Tirana, localidad que rememora a la Ñusta Huillac (princesa), relato de índole popular que describe el conflicto durante el proceso de conquista española en el territorio.
