Cockatoos in Australia
One of Australia's most recognisable and cheeky feathered locals is the beautiful cockatoo! With their snowy white feathers, bright yellow crests and larger-than-life personalities, cockatoos are hard to miss. They're regular visitors to our gardens, parks and backyards here in Australia. You'll often hear them before you see them! Their loud squawks and chatter can certainly make an entrance, especially when a whole flock decides to gather in the trees. Cockatoos are clever, curious and wonderfully mischievous. They love investigating things, playing with objects and sometimes getting up to a little trouble. Watching them go about their day is always entertaining. For me, they're a lovely little reminder of Australian wildlife and the beauty of having nature right on our doorstep. A little piece of Australia, with plenty of personality and a whole lot of noise!
