Día de los Finaos

"Día de los Finaos" is a traditional Canary Islands celebration held on the night of October 31st to honor and remember deceased loved ones. Families gather to share memories and stories of their ancestors while enjoying local autumn treats like roasted chestnuts, dried figs, and sweet wine, while children traditionally go door-to-door asking for “santitos” (fruits and nuts) and towns celebrate together in the streets with public chestnut roasts and traditional folk music.
