National Charity League: Senior Presents
The National Charity League is a charity organization in which mothers and daughters (aged 12 to 18) volunteer within their community. We are grouped into chapters based on our locations, and we spend these years meeting with our group mates, attending leadership talks, working at community gardens, foster care centers, nursing homes, etc. When you “graduate” from the program (right before university), you celebrate with Senior Presents. Girls around the nation dress up in white ball gowns and enjoy a banquet with their family, and their father’s honor them with a speech (and hopefully haven’t had too much to drink before approaching the podium!). After the daughters are honored for their work and their future pursuits, there is a father daughter dance before their friends from school arrive for a giant dance party!
