Every year in April, New York City is just one of the many participating locations that takes part in Pillowfight Day! People go to the bargain shops to buy cheap pillows before heading to the designated spot (mine was Washington Square Park in Downtown Manhattan). Then, there’s a countdown before we all have at it and whack each other with pillows! It’s a great way to make friends with strangers, and there are people of all ages there! It really gives you such a rush of adrenaline, because you never just get to act silly and have fun on a mass scale in public as an adult. I would recommend doing it at least once before you die. This event is part of why I love NY so much: it allows for spontaneity, & people allow themselves to have fun without caring what others think all the time.
