La marcha de las antorchas

This is for those who like History :) La Marcha de las Antorchas (Literally- The march of torches) is a tribute to our apostol or national heroe José Martí. It was held for the first time at midnight on January 27, 1953, to await the coming of the centenary of his birth. Now, every January 27, University students reunit at the Univertity staircase (escalinata) at 8:00pm and we march in memory of Martí :)
