I am finishing a PhD in Sheffield, Yorkshire on peacebuilding and conflict resolution. I also teach and have lived here for seven years. I enjoy reading biographies, philosophy, political history and art history. I come from an Australian family, so enjoy heading over there once a year. I would like to learn how to paint and improve my cooking (something I am enthusiastic but not so confident in doing for lots of other people). I can speak a little French, and a friend of mine is TRYING to teach me Chinese - but I find this VERY VERY difficult.
