I’m looking for one who can continue a line of thought without turning it into theatrics, banality, or endless cliches. I’ve spent years exchanging emails with people who began well and then, predictably, reduced themselves into something generic. I don’t appreciate that anymore. My life is plain and persistent. I teach. I read. I write. I live with more than twenty cats that arrived half-alive, or in conditions most people would not deal with. They're all I have.
