I am an amateur bassoonist, playing in 3 orchestras and a few chamber music groups. I make my own wine. I try to read 2 novels a month and have been in a Book Group for many years. I love writing letters with a fountain pen. Other interests include medieval history, genealogy (I have inherited family documents going back to the 1820s), baking cakes and art (with an emphasis on the Northern Renaissance)
