I am stuck in a duality between who I am to survive and what I may truly be. I'm a woman whose smoldering fire was reignited by the birth of my child, who reflects back different hues. If it's conformity you are looking for, it will not be found with me. I cannot fit into lines drawn by society and I am not sure why. But I still try to connect with others. This is why I am here. Next year I will be in Japan for a month with my toddler to experience life there. This is a cultural exchange. I am here to exchange words to learn, my English for your Japanese.
