I am a scientist (biochemist). I currently work for a biotechnology company in North Carolina but had a wonderful nine year stint (a sabbatical of sorts) as a biochemistry professor. I loved teaching and mentoring young scientists but I also love actually doing research myself as I do in my current job. I have far too many hobbies and interests including reading, board games, chess, fishing, music, astronomy, disc golf, language learning (French) and writing.
