I am somewhat addicted to high quality papers, pens and inks. I write on 100% cotton paper only, either Original Crown Mill, or hand made Amatruda Carta Di Amalfi paper from Italy. I also have a fondness for goatskin and calfskin parchment, but only use it for special occasions. I write mostly with my trusted Visconti Homo Sapiens fountain-pen, medium nib - filled with black Montegrappa ink. All my letters and parchments are sealed with traditional wax. Now that you've read about my writing habits, you might have concluded that I am fond of an era long gone by and vintage. In this assumption you are absolutely right. However, beside my weakness for the elegance of past times; I am not as black & white as that picture of me might suggest. I am also into extreme adventures, combined with high risk taking, photography and excitement. I've spent more than six years living in China, working, learning the language and traveling. I've also spent half a year in the Peruvian Amazon Jungle, where I bought a boat and traveled the rivers by myself. I find it that the most interesting experiences are those one encounters when traveling alone. Besides paper, ink, old vintage and extreme adventures; I am also fond of reading such topics as astrophysics, special and general relativity, quantum mechanics and string theory. I've just recently gotten into astronomy, and I absolutely love staring at the planets, stars, nebulae and galaxies through my telescope. The above topics aside; I also have strong opinions on theism, ethics and philosophy, so don't get me started. :)
